Hi there! I'm Carla.
I am so glad you found the online home of
Revealing Optimal Well Being
my empowerment coaching site. This site and presenting myself to the world as an empowerment coach is the result of decades of formal and informal education, self examination and escavation, rebuilding and definition, and several decades of using my natural and learned skills with myself,  friends and colleagues to help myself and them move forward toward our  highest potentials.
When I look at my life, I must admit that I am living my dream. That is no exageration! 

Let me tell you why I say that. I released the lies of lack and limits and my life reflects that in so mahy ways! I live in San Diego, California in the USA. People travel from all over the world to vacation here.  From where I live I can hike in the mountains, bike trails, or paved paths, surf in the pacific ocean or kayak or paddle board in any of several bays all within a half hour drive.  My neighborhood is culturally and genenrationally diverse and I have at least a casual aquaintenceship with many of my neighbors. 

I am in a loving supportive relationship with Luisa, a dynamic woman who values me as an individual and celebrates me as a partner. We have from the beginning shared a love that allows us to work side by side as community volunteers, grow in our individual professions and interests, and face celebrations and challenges hand in hand and heart to heart. 

I mentioned growing professionally. One of the ways I am living my dream is that I haven't chosen a single profession. For many years I believed I should, and trying to do left me feeling that something was lacking. In moving closer to my  most authentic self I acknowledged that I must celebrate every facet of me, which includes exploring several professional interests.
The profession most people I know associate me with is American Sign Language/English Interpreter. I absolutlely love sign language, and more than that the Deaf community. The fact that I am able to work with a community I love is only the beginning of the dream come true. I am a freelance interpreter whch means I set my own schedule. I am further blessed by having a long term contract that renews regularly. 
My side hustle is hosting AirBnB in my home. I have wanted to own a Bed and Breakfast since I stayed in one in my early 20's, but I loathed the idea of handling the billing and marketing. Enter AirBnB. I started with one room when I needed money for an unexpected upgrade to my home. Now I host in two of the bedroms in my five bedroom house alternately,  so only one room is booked at a time. I absolutely love to decorate, so preparing the rooms was a real joy. . I bake fresh cookies from scratch to leave on m arrivng guests dresser, because I love to bake and this gives me an excuse. If I want to go on vacation or just  need a quiet night, I can block the rooms from being booked. What you just heard me say is that I earn extra income (which often covers my mortgage), so something I Iove to do, on my terms. I would definately say that's living the dream!
 Of course, another of my professions in Empowerment Coaching. I call myself an empowerment coach rrather than a life coach, because it is my goal to guide those I work with to a place of empowerment and celebrate as they strike out on their own using the tools I have offered. Most of us are pretty good at managing life, at least most of the time. So often I meet folks who have a handle on all the details of making their life run smoothly, yet are disempowered in one or more areas and feeling unfulfilled. I am  adept at helping individuals and groups define and achieve personal and professional goals. Though we sometimes fail to realize it, we all have within us the answers to what separates us from living in our highest potential. I love guiding others as they define and erradicate those barriers! I take a holistic approach with the folks I work with, because that is the approach I have found the most success with personally.  I love seeing the look on the eyes of someone I am working with when they first manifest an outcome they thought was unachieveable!



I'm not telling you how amazing my life is as a way to boast, or elevate myself above another. I am telling you about my amazing life, because when one considers that I moved to one of the most expensive cities in the US with only $64, no job, no college to speak of, and a friends couch for a bed, and now I am buying a comfortable 5 bedroom house, with a yard that allows me to grow some of my own food, and is home to 19 different kinds of birds, there can be no denying that I manifest amazing outcomes! I manifested my home using my tried and true combinaion of affirmations, visualization, and focused action.
 I have manifested jobs I love, experiences that I onced believed were out of my reach the same way. The best thing about the way I have manifested these outcomes, is that the ability is not unique, or limited to me and requires few tools.  There is no special software required. Anyone can use the techniques I use to create results they want! We all carry the foundation within us. Many of us are aware of it and use it to create a life that is fulfilling to us and harmoneous with those around us. Others have lost sight of the foundation they carry within, but it is stilil there and just needs to be awakened. 

This site is designed to be useful to folks no matter where they are on their path to self improvement, personal development or self actualization. Free content is released regularly and covers various aspects of personal and professional empowerment. This will include webinars, Master Classes, online tutorials, and book reviews and suggested readings. 
For those who choose to join a member section, you can expect one webinar or master class each week and one group online coaching session, in addition to e-learning courses with moduals released weekly.  All member sections receive access to the book of the month page which includes online discussion and scheduled live discussions.
